SUMMARY:IEEE PIMRC
DESCRIPTION:The 35th edition of the annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal\, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC) will be held in Valencia\, Spain. The symposium has become one of the two major conferences of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) in the field of wireless communications and networking. Originally founded as a workshop in London in 1989\, it developed over the years to become a major international conference\, attracting technical communities from all regions and continents. After two successful editions in Asia and America\, the 2024 edition returns to Europe\, and will be held in face-to-face format. PIMRC 2024 will assemble worldwide experts to deliver keynotes\, tutorials\, workshops\, industry panels\, and high-quality technical sessions. Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers\, as well as proposals for panels\, tutorials\, and workshops\, addressing a wide range of topics in wireless and mobile communications\, including but not limited to: \n  \n\n\n\n• Communication Theory \n• Beyond 5G Technologies \n• Next-Generation Wireless Systems \n• New spectrum bands \n• Software-defined and Open Interface-based Networks \n• Emerging Wireless Solutions and Applications \n• Sustainability and Environmental Impact of Networks \n• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Communications \n• Green and Energy-Efficient Networks \n• Integrated Sensing\, Localization and Communication \n• Ultra/Tera Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) \n• Millimeter-Wave and Terahertz Communications \n• Holographic and Near-field Communications \n• Massive Internet of Things (IoT) and Sensor Networks \n• Non-terrestrial Networks \n• Mobile Edge\, Cloud\, and Fog Computing \n• Data-driven\, Large-scale\, Network Modelling and Optimization \n• Digital Twins and Autonomous Networks \n• Vehicular Communications \n• Wireless Security and Privacy

SUMMARY:WWRF52
DESCRIPTION:Emerging efforts towards the definition and initial steps towards the standardization of the next generation wireless networks aim to integrate terrestrial\, aerial\, and satellite systems to ensure a truly seamless\, global coverage in a unified manner in terms of terminal and overall end-user experience. Next generation networks will leverage advanced distributed intelligence\, enabling real–time data processing and real–time decision-making\, enhancing both personal and industrial applications.Sustainability is also at the forefront\, with green technologies and energy-efficient protocols designed to minimize the environmental footprint in the era of climate crisis and net zero commitment across different industries. Consequently\, a complex ecosystem of networks\, interconnected applications\, services\, and physical/virtual devices\, with a high degree of heterogeneity\, emerges. This heterogeneity is envisioned to be tamed by native network ML/Al solutions that must display significant levels of autonomy in terms of their operation as well as ensuring a safe\, secure\, and explainable operation. Together\, these advancements in connectivity\, intelligence\, and sustainability will drive the future of communication\, making next generation networks a truly transformative force in our interconnected world. \nUnder this theme\, the 52nd Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF) will take place at King’s College London\, in London\, UK from 10-12 September 2024.
